The 5th Column Advances

In Normandy, American soldiers covered the beaches with lifeblood. On the sands of Iwo Jima, Americans sacrificed their lives to mount a flag symbolizing what they were fighting for. The timeless images of war heroes returning home after preventing aggressors from conquering the world, preserving freedom are part of our history, a part of our heritage. Why do we fight? Why do we care about preserving our way of life? Is it worth it?

March 20th 2003, San Francisco. Human vomit spews forth from "Puke For Peace" members on the streets as statements of their "love" of America. Activists block streets and freeways. Citizens are prevented from leaving the city, from gathering their children, taking aid to those homebound, and conducting business. Would those soldiers who died fighting for our freedom once before still have considered it worthwhile in light of these events? Did they die by the thousands so that detractors may defile the very soil that they gave their lives to protect?
Los Angeles, another "peace" rally takes place conducting operations in "peace" through fighting, throwing objects at vehicles and people burning American flags. Are these acts that true peace loving humans would carry out?
Who are these "concerned" individuals? What do they hope to achieve? Does this orchestrated violence portray peace and tolerance?
No. Sources indicate that these highly organized terrorist demonstrations are directly funded and promoted by various anti-American groups with ties, either indirectly or directly, to communist based factions as well as organized terrorist groups.
The members consists of an estimated 10% core of purists and 90% of easily influenced individuals through psychological appeals on various levels. Some are swayed by assumptions of peaceful intentions, others by general anarchy, and many by a "scene" to imbibe drugs and to "party."
A tree is easily identified by the fruit that it bears. These groups, no matter what cover they attempt to use, clearly demonstrate that they are not standing for peace but for pure anti-American, anti-Republican, and anti-Bush based hatred. The irony of outwardly professing peace and love trough hatred and violence could almost be comedic if it were not sadly true.
Where were these concerned people when president Clinton bombed the Serbians for over 80 days inflicting numerous civilian casualties while not actually accomplishing any objective? The UN was unable to substantiate most of the alleged war crime charges after the attacks subsided. Clinton also bombed a pharmaceutical factory, which was largely unnoticed by the mass media as well as proponents of peace.
It was also reported that flyers obtained by law enforcement individuals at the recent scenes of arrest, described methods of terrorist attacks using pipe bombs against police and other officers to create anarchy and terror. These groups along with their members are not protestors at all but terrorists who stand for the destruction of America whether they are aware of it or not.
These people are outright seditionists and are guilty as such under the Espionage act. Government officials are currently investigating those who were arrested and even those who were not, but present.

This is the 5th column, a secret or underground column of members that the terrorists are using to create dissention and division in our county in an effort to disrupt and destroy. This is a classic method of attack: divide and conquer.
These individuals, often glorified by the mass media, account for very small numbers but appear to be large in number by using the media coverage along with loud and violent actions. They simply do not represent any significant portion of the population of America nor its views. Most Americans do not support these groups or their radical agenda.

America's freedom has cost many lives and will require that sacrifice if we are to survive as a nation. The world has always been a violent place and that will not change anytime soon. We value our way of life and will never surrender it willingly. The terrorist aggressors to our country and people are getting a reminder with the conflict in Iraq, that we will do whatever it takes to defend our country and our way of life.

Most Americans realize that we are at war, no, not just this week, rather at least since September 11, 2001. We are still in the midst of a fight.

    After all, have you forgotten?

Epilogue (March 25th 2003)

After recent images of American soldier corpses aired as an "exclusive" on Al-Jazeera television, it is obvious that the soldiers met an extremely brutal and violent death no doubt being tortured in a most savage fashion.  We need to realize that these Americans gave their life to maintain and secure our most valuable right, our freedom.  Freedom has always required blood as its price, and someone has to pay it.  In this case our troops were making that payment; the ultimate sacrifice.

Perhaps the anti-American war protestors will one day realize that they DO support our enemies and symbolically have the blood of those fallen soldiers on their hands.  Free speech is another right that we hold dear but you do not have the right to act as a seditionist without penalties.

Let us reflect upon our military heroes and be thankful of their sacrifices throughout this war.
