America Under Siege: The Constitution, 1776-2008, R.I.P.

Roswell, JFK, and Tunguska are stories shrouded in conspiracy.  All three of these are as a single grain of sand on the beach of conspiracies next to the Obama effect.

Do we, as Americans, care anymore or have we really been mass hypnotized? 

I can not believe it myself, but I have to consider the real possibility that America does not exist anymore.  No, my bottle of J.D. has not been opened before writing this.  Consider this, however, if our government is not willing or able to follow the Constitution anymore, do we really have an America living through the Constitution?  Think about it?

There are only three qualifications for being President of the United States, according the the Constitution (section 1 of article 2):

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Let's cut through all the red tape.  We can sit around and argue with the spin misters about what a "natural born Citizen" is or is not just as we can ask to change the definition of what "is" is but the intent can be gathered from other documents.  The framers (of the Constitution) knew that the people needed and wanted a simple to understand set of laws and regulations.  Unfortunately the framers did not count on the ACLU's teams of lawyers and a prolific leftist mass media.  The intent is simply put; a foreigner, naturalized or not, born not on American soil to American parents is not a desirable quality as President.  Why?  It is simple and does not take much reasoning to understand.

It was the feeling of those who drafted the Constitution, that someone born in America and raised in the values and traditions of the country would not only be more loyal to the country but might have the countries best interest in mind when governing.  Also, with the potential for using military force at will, the commander in chief should be most loyal to America -- not a foreign home land or ideal.

Do we have proof that Obama is not a natural born citizen?  Is his relatives and friends testimony on video about his reported birth in Kenya enough?  Is his travel to Indonesia, at a time when most American citizens could not, considered damaging?  Is his refusal to show the long form from his Hawaiian records odd?  Is the fact that in the state of Hawaii the birth records laws are so liberal that birth fraud is all too common since no concrete proof is required to establish a birth record there?

The publicly released "Certification of Live Birth" is NOT the long form birth certificate.  This image has been inspected at the pixel level and some have argued that it is not an original document but rather computer manipulated.  There is a very convincing analysis on this subject.

Why not cut to the chase and just release the long form to the media?  The man is already in the public limelight and by his own desire to run for this level of political office has almost no expectation of privacy so just show your hand!  If there is nothing to hide, it would only made political commentators, such as myself, a nut job and discredit me.  Seems like a good deal to me if you are on the other side of the isle.

Why is the media just touching on the story now and only to ridicule?  I was taught that as a reporter, I was obligated to get to the truth and dig, dig, dig until I found it.  Today, media is ratings and unethical reporting at best.  Even so called conservative outlets do not want to touch it (hello Hannity).

Is the fear of national riots and perhaps civil war good enough reason to NOT abide by the Constitution?  If we start down that road of picking and choosing the "best" of the Constitution we will no longer be a intact country.

Some sources have eluded to the entire election itself as rigged.  Since I am not closed minded, I will investigate those claims to determine their merit.  The media of today is not interested.  In my time it was known as investigatory journalism.

Do we still have a government that is bridled by the Constitution?  I really do not know anymore.  In some ways, I am sorry to say, we are at the point of possibly no return.  If any branch of the government will not even ask to view Obama's long form, just to verify qualifications -- then we all could be in serious trouble.
